The YMCA Youth and Adult Sports Philosophy encourages active participation in a healthy and supportive environment that allows participants to reach their full potential.

The YMCA Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are integral in the sports programs that are offered at the YMCA.

Adult Sports

The West Bay Family YMCA offers karate classes for teens and adults beginning at 13 years old. Classes incorporate basic Shorin-Ryu Karate techniques that teach responsibility, self-awareness and teamwork, as well as improve coordination and flexibility skills in a class designed to be educational and fun.

Youth Sports:

Our YMCA offers beginning tumbling classes, including Play with Me and Tumble Tots, for children 18 months to 5 years old. We also have an extensive Martial Arts Program for children 3 to 12. Classes incorporate basic Shorin-Ryu Karate techniques that teach responsibility, self-awareness and teamwork, as well as improve coordination and flexibility skills in a class designed to be educational and fun. For information on our floor hockey program please contact Heidi Morris hmorris@gpymca.org.
