Camp Tenderfoot


Children ages 3-5 years; must be toilet-trained
The emphasis of our summer camp program is placed on meeting new friends, developing age-appropriate skills, participating in water activities and providing positive learning experiences. In keeping with the YMCA philosophy, our program promotes self-esteem, confidence, and social skills. Camp Wequai

Children entering first grade – eighth grade
Camp Wequai, recently renamed, is the West Bay Family YMCA’s Day Camp for children and pre-teens. We offer a variety of options including adventure camp, canoeing camp, and aqua camp. The Camp Experience


Your child’s camp experience is designed to provide a balance to his/her physical and emotional needs. Camp Wequai is located in Wilson Park, a public outdoor recreational facility that offers a variety of features. Children in grades 1 through 8 can experience activities that may include:

• Outdoor Education
• Canoeing
• Arts and Crafts
• Character Development

• Hired to support the YMCA mission and philosophy

Financial Assistance

In keeping with our policy of serving the whole community, the West Bay Family YMCA offers financial assistance to children and families in need through our Open Door Program. Financial Assistance is provided through donations to the YMCA’s Strong Kids Campaign.  All information is confidential.
