The Cranston YMCA is proud to have been awarded, along with eight other organizations, a Cox Charities Grant. All were selected for providing quality after-school programming that benefits the education and development of youth. "We applaud these organizations," said John Wolfe, senior  vice-president and general manager at Cox Communications, "for their commitment to helping youth succeed."
"This grant will help our Y expand programming for low-income individuals," said Mike Norklun, executive director of the Cranston YMCA. "The families we serve appreciate the enrichment programs we offer to create a great after-school and summer learning experience."
Cox Charities, a charitable giving initiative of Cox Communications, has invested more than $5.6 million in grants and in-kind support to more than 130 organizations since 2001.
