Arts and Humanities

Welcome to the South County YMCA’s Arts and Humanities Program. Over the years, our YMCA arts program has grown dramatically and today we have a large program that offers a plethora of activities for all ages. Whether an individual has an interest in literary, performing, or visual arts, the YMCA offers activities for children, youth, teens, adults and families to express their souls while building healthier spirits, minds and bodies.

  • Art Classes

    The South County YMCA offers many types of art classes to help your child foster their creative side. Some of the class offerings are Messy Arts, Characters and Crafts, and Nature’s Little Artist. Please see our program brochure for class times and dates.

  • Music Lessons

    Music is a creative outlet for individuals to express themselves. We offer piano and voice lessons here at the South County YMCA by appointment only. Please see our program brochure for prices.

  • Dance Lessons

    South County YMCA’s dance program is geared for children ages 3 to 6. The classes will teach children the basic fundamentals of dance in a fun and educational environment. Please see our program brochure for class times and dates.

  • Clubs and Social Activities

    The South County YMCA strives to build strong relationships between the members and staff.   We offer book clubs and have many family activities throughout the year. Please see our program brochure for details.

  • Spiritual Programs

    The South County YMCA has been a pioneer in spiritual programming over the last few years.   Please come see our “spirit corner” at the branch and put a prayer in our prayer intention box.  Look for upcoming special spiritual events in our program brochure.
