• receive ongoing education through the YMCA training program, to remain informed about child abuse prevention and identification; safety; positive reinforcement techniques; responsiveness and notification procedures; and other appropriate topics.

South County YMCA Childcare Programs:
• are inspected and licensed by the state.
• follow curriculum standards developed by the YMCA of the USA.
• maintain an appropriate staff/child ratio.
• are “family friendly”.

The YMCA offers financial assistance through its Financial Assistance Fund and accepts third party payments, ensuring that high quality child care is affordable and accessible to all.
