School’s Out

Elementary School Grades
For the times you can’t be there yourself, the YMCA supports your efforts to nurture your child’s healthy development. Well-trained staff members provide safe, affordable, high-quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work or continue your education.

The School’s Out curriculum follows the national YMCA-curriculum model:

  • Arts and Humanities
  • Commitment to Learning
  • Character Development
  • Social Competencies and Conflict Resolution
  • Health and Wellness

We also consider the School’s Out program to be a partnership between our families and the YMCA.  We feel strongly that parent involvement strengthens our programs, and we encourage parents/guardians to offer feedback, suggestions and evaluations.  Additionally, if you are interested in volunteering to help with biannual evaluations of the program or to be a liaison with the schools, please contact the School Age Child Care Director, Jen Martin, at 783-3900 for more information.
