  • We primarily serve the communities of Seekonk, Rehoboth and East Providence.

  • At 25 meters long, the Newman YMCA hosts the longest pool in the Greater Providence YMCA Association.

  • The Newman YMCA is proud to be accredited as a National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and a member branch of the largest child-care provider in the country.

  • As an Activate America YMCA, Newman is committed to supporting kids, adults and families in their journey to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

  • The Newman YMCA is dedicated to developing and maintaining quality child-care staff and operations. We currently operate a licensed school-age program at the Palmer Elementary School in Rehoboth, Mass.; at six elementary school sites in East Providence, RI; and in three  YMCA-based middle school programs, one at Edward Middle School in East Providence, RI, one at Beckwith Middle School in Rumford and the other at Seekonk Middle School in Seekonk, Mass. Collectively, 225 school-age youth are in Newman YMCA care daily.

  • The Newman YMCA is also participating in a ground-breaking pilot project that is enhancing our capacity to serve and support people who want to lead a healthy lifestyle, but struggle to do so and transforming our child-care sites into environments where physical activity, healthy eating and connectedness are the norm. The Harvard School of Public Health is currently evaluating the health benefits to children of this pilot project.
