The Cranston YMCA is improving just for you! 
New equipment, new aerobics studio, community cafe and more.  The renovations for our new and improved fitness center is moving along smoothly, the pool, workout equipment and group excerises classes are still available.  

Sports

Participating in organized sports has many positive effects for kids and adults. Among them are the development of teamwork, communication skills, self-confidence, mental health, physical fitness and school success! The Cranston YMCA makes sports fun by emphasizing cooperation over competition; and with the YMCA’s financial assistance program, “everybody plays, everybody wins” is more than a philosophy - it’s a promise!

  • Basketball

    The Cranston YMCA offers a co-ed Basketball League for children ages 4-17 during our Fall Sessions. Youth basketball is a family-oriented program utilizing volunteer coaches, referees and scorekeepers. Participants learn fundamentals of play and teams will compete against one another for fun and to reinforce the skills they are learning.

  • Soccer

    The Cranston YMCA offers a co-ed Soccer League for children ages 4-17 during our Winter and Spring Sessions. Youth soccer is a family-oriented program utilizing volunteer coaches, referees and scorekeepers. Participants learn fundamentals of play and teams will compete against one another for fun and to reinforce the skills they are learning.


  • T-Ball

    The Cranston YMCA offers co-ed T-Ball for children ages 4-7 during our Spring Sessions. T-ball, a version of softball/baseball, is played without a pitcher. Children will learn hitting, fielding and throwing.
  • Gymnastics

    The Cranston YMCA will get your preschooler on the road to gymnastics with our Tumblers Class! Tumblers is a beginner tumbling class for children ages 3-5. Children will learn mat work, somersaults and balance beam all while having fun with their friends. 

    The Cranston YMCA offers Gymnastics for children ages 6 and up in both beginner and intermediate levels. Participants will work on basic skills, including tumbling, cartwheels, mat work and balance beam. 

    Do you have a future stunt man or woman in your family? Why not find out with the Cranston YMCA’s Dramatic Stunt Class!  This instructional class is offered to children ages 10 and up and will focus on teaching stunt choreography in a safe and fun environment.
