Schools Out

Cranston YMCA’s School’s Out Program is our answer to every working parents question about quality care for their child 39 weeks per year! For the times you can’t be there yourself, the YMCA supports your efforts to nurture your child’s healthy development. Our well-trained staff provides safe, affordable, high quality care so you can have peace of mind while you work. This program is licensed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families.

Our School’s Out curriculum includes Arts & Humanities, Health & Wellness, Homework Assistance and Character Development. Recreational swim is also a part of our weekly schedule. This program operates year round from school dismissal time to 6:00 PM and includes full days during school vacation weeks. Our School’s Out program operates out of the YMCA and several off-site centers.

Before school care is available for specified schools beginning at 6:30 AM.

After School Care Sites:
- Eden Park Services: Eden Park and Waterman
- George J Peters Services: Peters, Stone Hill & Orchard Farms
- Rhodes Services: Rhodes, Edgewood, Highlands, Chester Barrows, Dutemple
- CCYC School’s Out: Bain, Park View, Western Hills
- YMCA Site Services: Arlington, Gladstone, St. Matthew, CJCR, Woodridge, Garden City, Glens Hills, Oaklawn, Hope Highlands, Stadium

Transportation is included to some sites.

Do not forget to sign up for one of three vaction weeks during the school year. Activities during this week include swimming, crafts, games, field trips, and more.
