PEPSIYMCA Receives Grants from Pepsi

Each branch receives $2,500 grant for health and wellness programming.

Five branches of the YMCA of Greater Providence recently received a total of $25,000 in grants from Pepsi to help more people achieve healthier lifestyles.

Grants were award to Bayside Family Y in Barrington, East Side/Mount Hope Y in Providence, Newman Y in Seekonk, South County Y in Wakefield, and West Bay Y in North Kingstown 

These grants will support a wide range of activities including a program for cancer survivors in Providence, teen after hours programming in Barrington, and a high school fitness program in North Kingstown 

The relationship between the YMCA and Pepsi is part of Activate America, a national initiative to encourage individuals and families to become more physically active and make better nutritional choices.
