March 26, 2008

Y
MCA helps community identify and respond to bullying after ‘hit list’ found at school.

In response to a “hit list” of students found at Seekonk High School two weeks ago, Newman YMCA is offering a free workshop for children and parents on “Identifying and Responding to Bullying.”

According to statistics, one in seven children experience bullying, yet it is often underrated and underreported. Bullying not only effects the children involved, but the entire school and larger community.

The goal of this interactive workshop is for participants to understand behaviors and develop effective responses to bullying.
