YMCA of Greater Providence Announces New Board Chair

avel is passed from James Purcell to Amy Page Oberg at Annual Meeting.
At its Annual Meeting, the YMCA of Greater Providence announced the appointment of Amy Page Oberg as Chair of the Board of Directors.
"I am so pleased that Amy has agreed to step up to this leadership role on our Board,” said YMCA of Greater Providence CEO & President Karen Leslie. “She has served us so well as the Chair of our Bayside Branch Board and now she will have the chance to do the same for the entire Association. I welcome the chance to work more closely with her.
”Ms. Oberg has participated on the Greater Providence Board since 2006 and has been active on the Board of Management of the Bayside Family YMCA since 2002, serving as its Chair since 2006.
Professionally, Ms. Oberg is counsel with DarrowEverett LLP a full service business law firm with offices in Providence and Boston. She earned her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston and her B.A. in English from Colby College.
Ms. Oberg assumes the role vacated by James Purcell, President & CEO of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island.
