  The perfect solution for working parents with young children is the Cranston YMCA’s full day pre-school childcare program is called Kids World. Kids World is held at The John O. Pastore Center, 600 New London Avenue, Cranston, RI. Kids World is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our full day, year round childcare center is licensed by the RI DCYF and department of education. Learning experiences are developmentally appropriate and focus on the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child. Our teachers know that children learn through play and at different times and in different ways, and therefore, will meet each child’s individual needs. Kids World is for children aged 3 to 5 and operates 52 weeks per year from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM. • Y’s Owl Nursery School
  
  If you are a parent of a child aged 3 to 5 and do not need full day childcare but would like your child to have the preschool experience of friends, fun and learning then the Cranston YMCA’s Y’s Owl Nursery School is for you! Y’s Owl Nursery School is licensed by the RI Department of Education and is a great place for your child to grow! Our philosophy of learning through play is the foundation for our educational activities and building a positive self-image. Our experienced Nursery School Director has developed an excellent preschool program that meets the needs of the individual child. Our Nursery School is unique because we offer your child weekly swim lessons and gym activities. Nursery School is offered in 2, 3 or 5-day options and operates from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
