Kids World
The Newman YMCA preschool program is licensed through the Massachusetts Department of Early Learning and Care and provides care to children from 2.9 to 5 years of age. The Kid's World Preschool Program offers young childrem a variety of expereinces that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Our program gives your child the oppurtunity to grow physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively through enriching activities designed to prepare your child for Kindergarten. These activities are rich in Literacy (through a generous grant from Comcast); Creative Arts; Building; Dramatic Play; Science and Discovery as well as small and gross motor development.
At Kid's World we include weekly swim lessons as part of our curriculum for children enrolled in our 5 day program and are availible on a limtied basis for our 2 day program. The children also have a unique environmental education opportunity on our very own Nature Trail and by working in our Community Garden, made possible by a grant through the National Gardening Association and The Home Depot.
Kid's World has three enrollment options: our five day program meets Monday-Friday; our three day program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and our two day program meets on Tuesday and Thursday. Hours of operation are 7am-5:30pm. Kid's World operates 52 weeks a year.

Our Staff
We believe that the success of the children in our program is due to our dedicated Early Childhood Professionals on staff. Our programs are directed under the qualified leadership of a Child Care Director with experience in administration and in the Early Childhood Education field. All staff are prescreened with a criminal background check and is selected based upon their education, experiences, character, and talents. Teachers and Teacher's Assistants are required to participate in on-going trainings and ducation including First Aid, CPR, Prevention of Child Abuse and more..
Financial Assistance
In keeping with our policy of serving the whole community, the YMCA offers
financial assistance to children and families in need through our Open Door Program.
