Day Camp Overview

YMCA Camp Providence is a unique "summer-in-the-city" adventure for campers entering grades Kindergarten* - 2nd Grade. Blending the excitement of being in the city and the get outside and play enjoyment of traditional day camp, YMCA Camp Providence is a community based experience located at Hope High School on the East Side.  Camp has access to spacious rooms, the East Side YMCA swimming pool and plenty of safe, outdoor space.  Open the Camp Brochure below for details. 

YMCA Camp Shepard is a beautiful, 150-acre, outdoor camp in Greenville, RI, located directly on the Upper Sprague Reservoir and bordered by extensive woodlands. Campers enjoy a wilderness feel to their summer while having modern amenities such as running water, flush toilets, and electricity.  Camp Shepard is a program of the YMCA of Greater Providence and serves aproximately 250 campers per day for 10 weeks in the summer.  Campers are from many neighborhoods of Providence and the northwest communities of Rhode Island, including a partnership with the Woonsocket YMCA. YMCA CAMP PROVIDENCE & YMCA CAMP SHEPARD

3 Easy Steps To Registration

  1. Fill out the Registration Form completely.
    1. Please be sure that you indicate the camp choice you are most interested in - paying close attention to grade level options and pre & post camp locations.

    2. Registration forms must be complete and accompanied by the $25 registration fee in order to be accepted.

  2. Bring the $25 Registration Fee with you.
    1. The fee is $25 per family no matter how many sessions you register for. The family fee applies to siblings only and does not include cousins or other family members.
    2. You may pay by cash, check, credit card, or money order.
  3. Give all of the above to a Camp Registrar or Mail It in.
    1. A Camp Registrar will be available to assist you through the Enrollment Office at the Providence YMCA Youth Services Branch at 164 Broad Street. Call 456-0604 to set up a time or stop by between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. 
    2. Camp Registrars will be available at specific registration times at the Out of School Time sites.
    3. Please do not leave your paperwork and payment with anyone other than a Camp Registrar.

Welcome Packet - Once you have registered for Camp, you will receive a Welcome Packet within two weeks. This packet will need to be completed and returned to the YMCA no later than June 1st. If you are registering after June 1st, you will need to complete the packet immediately in order to be registered.

Financial Assistance is available! If you are interested, please let us know and a Camp Registrar will assist you with the proper documentation and paperwork.
