The South County YMCA Seals Swim Team is one of the fastest growing YMCA and USA competitive age group programs in Rhode Island. The Seals have excelled at the South Eastern New England YMCA Championships (SENECY). Like them on Facebook!

Our team consists of 100+ members between 5 years old and college age swimmers who are placed in training groups and compete in local, New England and national levels based on their ability. Our practices are held at the South County YMCA  with our program focusing on goal setting, building team spirit, self-confidence, and healthy lifestyles through our core vales of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

The South County YMCA (SCY) swims in the Southeastern New England Cluster of YMCA's (SENECY), YMCA New England Championship, and YMCA National Championships. The program is currently full, we are accepting registrations to be placed on our waiting list. 


Masters swimming is an organized swim program for adults 18 and older. Members vary in skill level from novice lap swimmer to Division One athletes. Members participate in a variety of ways ranging from lap swimming to national competition. Triathletes are welcome.

Stroke technique and conditioning are part of every workout. You will also be able to tailor the workout to meet your needs and abilities in a group setting.  Practices vary from beginners learning how to swim competitively to national caliber Masters athletes looking for a season plan that will help them prepare for Masters Nationals.
